New Delhi, December 15, 2025 — JSW MG Motor India has launched the All-New MG Hector in the Indian market, with an introductory ex-showroom price starting at ₹11.99 lakh. Positioned in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment, the updated Hector comes with a refreshed design, enhanced comfort, and a host of advanced technologies, including segment-first gesture-based controls.
The 2026 MG Hector is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations, with prices ranging up to ₹19.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for petrol variants. Prices for diesel variants will be announced at a later date. Notably, the new Hector is the first SUV in its segment to feature i-SWIPE Touch Gesture Control and Smart Boost Technology, allowing users to control key functions such as air-conditioning, music, and navigation through simple hand gestures.
Financing and Ownership Benefits
MG Motor India is offering 100% on-road price financing, including accessories, enabling customers to purchase the SUV entirely on EMI. Buyers can avail funding support for up to 84 months (7 years). Additionally, under the MG SHIELD ownership program, customers receive three years of unlimited warranty, roadside assistance, and labour-free services, enhancing long-term ownership value.
Bold Design and New Colour Options
The All-New Hector sports a commanding road presence with its bold hexagonal Aura grille and newly designed Aura Sculpt bumpers at the front and rear. These updates give the SUV a more muscular and premium stance. It also comes equipped with newly styled Aura Bolt alloy wheels. Adding to its appeal are two new exterior colour options — Celadon Blue and Pearl White.
Premium Interiors with New Themes
Inside, the Hector has been thoroughly refreshed. The 6- and 7-seater variants feature a dual-tone Urban Tan interior theme, while the 5-seater version gets a dual-tone Ice Grey theme. The cabin is enhanced with Hydra Gloss finish accents, hydrophobic black-blue inserts, fabric seat inserts, and leather-touch elements on the dashboard, doors, and centre console, creating a more premium ambience.
Advanced Features and Technology
The All-New MG Hector is loaded with features, including front ventilated seats, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, tilt and telescopic steering, a 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The segment-first i-SWIPE gesture control enables multi-touch operations using two- and three-finger swipes. Other highlights include a digital Bluetooth key, predictive maintenance alerts, and remote AC control via the i-SMART app.
Safety and Driver Assistance
On the safety front, the SUV comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), traction control, hill-hold assist, and brake assist as standard. Higher variants offer Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree HD camera, front parking sensors, and an automatic powered tailgate. Additional convenience features include a PM 2.5 air purifier, rain-sensing wipers, and smart key with push-button start and anti-theft immobiliser.
Engine and Performance
Powering the All-New Hector is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, available with manual and CVT transmission options. The engine delivers 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Enhanced with Smart Boost Technology, the SUV offers improved performance, smoother response, and seamless system integration.
