Tadasha Mishra Becomes Jharkhand’s First Woman DGP, Known for Tough Encounter Image
Ranchi, Jharkhand: In a historic move, Tadasha Mishra, a 1994-batch IPS officer of the Jharkhand cadre, has been appointed as the acting Director General of Police (DGP) of Jharkhand. She assumes charge following the resignation of former DGP Anurag Gupta, whose resignation was accepted by the state government two days ago.
The race for this top post included senior officers like 1992-batch IPS officers Anil Palta and Prashant Singh, as well as 1993-batch officer M.S. Bhatia, but ultimately, the government entrusted the state’s police leadership to Tadasha Mishra. Her appointment is seen as a step toward bringing renewed energy and direction to Jharkhand Police.
