Bhopal: In a shocking breach of security, unknown thieves attempted to steal sandalwood trees from the Madhya Pradesh Assembly complex, one of the state’s highest security zones. The incident occurred while security personnel were on leave, exposing vulnerabilities in the otherwise tightly guarded premises. The Assembly grounds host 230 MLAs during sessions and are protected by a battalion of Special Armed Forces along with over 70 Assembly security personnel.
