Chhattisgarh Begins Special Intensive Revision (SIR): 5–6% Voters to Show Documents; BLOs to Visit Each House Thrice
Raipur: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of the voter list has officially begun across Chhattisgarh from Tuesday. Under this initiative, the Election Commission will update the electoral rolls, adding new eligible voters and verifying existing records to ensure accuracy ahead of upcoming elections.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Yashwant Kumar informed that during the SIR process, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit every household three times to verify voter details. Where necessary, voters will be asked to produce identity and address documents to confirm their eligibility.
