Cold Wave Intensifies in Uttar Pradesh: Westerly Winds Drop Temperatures, Dense Fog From Bareilly to Kanpur
With winter steadily tightening its grip over Uttar Pradesh, temperatures across the state have begun to slide sharply. Meteorologists have warned that the ongoing decline in minimum temperatures is likely to continue over the next 2–3 days, owing to the persistent flow of cold westerly winds. The drop is expected to be around 2–3°C, increasing the severity of the cold.
Although the weather is expected to remain dry on 24 November, several districts—particularly in western UP—are likely to experience dense fog, with visibility ranging between 50 to 200 metres. Eastern UP may witness light to moderate fog during early morning hours.
According to the forecast, 25, 26 and 27 November may also see clear skies statewide, but foggy mornings will continue on both eastern and western fronts....
