Meteorologists have warned that the ongoing decline in minimum temperatures is likely to continue over the next 2–3 days, owing to the persistent flow of cold westerly winds. The drop is expected to be around 2–3°C, increasing the severity of the cold. Although the weather is expected to remain dry on 24 November, several districts—particularly in western UP—are likely to experience dense fog, with visibility ranging between 50 to 200 metres. A chilling incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district has surfaced, where an 18-year-old youth died after coming in contact with a high-voltage transformer wire. The horrifying act was captured on CCTV, and the footage has since gone viral on social media. The incident took place on Gandhi Road in Badaut town.
