Agra–Aligarh Green Expressway: When Will It Start? Travel Time to Shrink to Just One Hour
Agra: The journey between Agra and Aligarh is set to become faster, safer, and far more convenient. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has begun work on the Agra–Aligarh Green Expressway, a major infrastructure project that will significantly ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time.
The 64.9 km long expressway will cut the current travel duration of 1.5 to 2 hours down to just one hour once completed. The project, with a total estimated cost of ₹1,536.9 crore, is being developed in two phases and is targeted for completion within 18 months. According to officials, the route will connect Khandouli Toll Plaza in Agra directly to NH-91, ensuring a smooth high-speed corridor.
