Gonda, Uttar Pradesh: A routine excavation near a temple in Thakurapura village, Balpur, Kurnailganj Tehsil took an unexpected turn on Wednesday when a JCB machine struck a buried earthen jar, revealing a hoard of 509 silver coins. According to eyewitnesses, the digging was part of local construction work when the JCB’s bucket hit the jar buried in the soil.
