Jaipur: In a significant move to safeguard the welfare of minors, the Rajasthan government has implemented a new law prohibiting night work for adolescents aged 14 to 18. The ordinance, aimed at ensuring the safety and future of young workers, has received approval from Governor Haribhau Bagade and is now officially part of state legislation. Earlier, the permissible age for restricted work hours was 12 to 15 years. With the new ordinance, the age group has been expanded to 14–18 years, ensuring stronger protection for teenage workers in restaurants, hotels, factories, and other commercial establishments.
