A dramatic and tense situation unfolded at the Tikamgarh Collectorate in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday when a Dalit farmer attempted to take his own life, alleging fraud in a land registration case and prolonged denial of justice. The incident triggered panic among officials, employees, and visitors present at the premises.
According to reports, Chhatta Ahirwar, a resident of Kurrai village, reached the Collectorate along with around 50 villagers to protest against what he described as a fraudulent land deal. The farmer alleged that nearly two years ago, he sold his land to a fellow villager, but was deceived during the process. He claimed that under the pretext of arranging a pension, he was taken to Jatara, where the land was registered without his full knowledge or informed consent.
