Bulandshahr Syana Violence: High Court Grants Bail to 32 Accused in Inspector Subodh Murder Case
Bulandshahr, UP: In the infamous Syana violence case, the High Court on Tuesday granted bail to 32 accused. The violence, which occurred on December 3, 2018, in Chingrawathi, resulted in the killing of Inspector Subodh Kumar, the then in-charge of Syana Police Station, along with another young man.
Background of the Case
The Syana violence saw widespread arson and rioting. Following the incident, 44 individuals were arrested and sent to jail. During the court proceedings, some of the accused passed away. Notably, district panchayat member Yogesh Raj and former Nishaj Party leader Shikhar Agrawal were also implicated in the case.
