Bihar Police Gets 1,218 New Sub-Inspectors; Three Transgenders Join Force for First Time
Nalanda/Rajgir: The strength of the Bihar Police received a major boost on Saturday with the induction of 1,218 newly trained Sub-Inspectors (SIs), including three transgender officers, marking a historic first for the state police force. The officers successfully completed their rigorous training at the Rajgir Police Training Centre (PTC) and will formally join the force after a grand Passing Out Parade.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took the ceremonial salute at the parade, while Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary was also present at the event. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister arrived at Rajgir by helicopter before proceeding to the training centre.
