Police Attack in Meerut’s Sathla Village: SSP Takes Strict Action, Sub-Inspector and Constable Suspended; PAC Deployed
Following a violent attack on a police team in Sathla village under the Mawana police station area of Meerut district, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Vipin Tada has taken strict administrative action. A sub-inspector and a constable have been suspended for negligence, while additional security measures have been put in place to maintain law and order in the village.
Sub-Inspector Saurav Rawat and Constable Sunil were suspended after an internal inquiry found lapses in duty. In addition, Sathla police outpost in-charge Sandeep Kumar has been removed from his post and replaced by Sumit Tomar. An additional inspector has also been posted at the outpost to strengthen supervision.
