Lucknow Metro Expansion: East–West Corridor Depot to Be Built in Basantkunj Scheme, Major Decision Finalized

Lucknow: In a major development for the Lucknow Metro expansion project, authorities have finalized the location for the East–West Corridor’s depot, which will now be constructed in the Basantkunj Housing Scheme. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has identified around 40 acres of land in Sector-A of the scheme for the proposed facility. LDA will soon submit full land details to the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC). LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar confirmed that UPMRC had earlier sent a letter on 13 August, requesting land on Hardoi Road for the depot.
