Dhurandhar Box Office Prediction: Theaters Buzzing, Advance Bookings Soar 346% in 22 Hours

‘Dhurandhar’ starring Ranveer Singh has finally hit theaters on Friday, 5th December, and early morning shows are already seeing a strong turnout of audiences. The film has witnessed a remarkable surge in advance bookings, which jumped 346% in just 22 hours as show availability increased, signaling a massive opening day.

According to Sacnilk, as of Thursday 11 AM, 58,801 tickets had been booked across 4,016 shows. By Friday morning, with 14,672 shows now available, total advance bookings soared to 2,62,543 tickets, generating a gross collection of ₹9.23 crore. Including blocked seats, pre-sales have pushed the figure to approximately ₹14 crore.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is one of the biggest releases of 2025, featuring an ensemble cast including Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. Despite competition from Tere Ishq Mein, which released two weeks ago, the films’ contrasting genres mean Dhurandhar has still managed excellent screen allocation, particularly in multiplexes.

The film’s budget is ₹280 crore, and it has been released across 5,000 screens nationwide. Social media response has been overwhelmingly positive, which is expected to boost word-of-mouth publicity and increase audience turnout for afternoon, evening, and night shows. The movie’s runtime of 3 hours, 32 minutes, and 1 second does not seem to deter viewers, thanks to its high-octane action sequences and star power.

First Weekend Collection Expectations
The spy-action genre is currently trending among Indian audiences, and the hype surrounding Dhurandhar—from its trailer to songs and cast—has created enormous excitement. With advance bookings surging and strong theater attendance, the film is poised to cross ₹100 crore in net collections over the first weekend.

Opening Day Prediction
Industry experts predict that Dhurandhar could rake in ₹20-25 crore on its first day. If evening and night shows maintain momentum, collections may touch ₹28-30 crore net. For comparison, Ranveer Singh’s 83 had an opening day collection of ₹12 crore post-pandemic. With Dhurandhar’s buzz, “mass masala” appeal, and audience excitement, it is set to achieve one of the biggest openings of Ranveer Singh’s career.
