Palak Mucchal has spoken out for the first time regarding her brother Palash Mucchal’s wedding to Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana, which was recently postponed amid controversy. She shared insights into the family’s current situation and how they are coping with the challenging circumstances.
The wedding, initially scheduled for 23rd November in Sangli, was suddenly postponed following the sudden illness of Smriti Mandhana’s father, who was admitted to the hospital. Reports also emerged about Palash Mucchal being hospitalized briefly. Speculation about the wedding being called off intensified when Smriti deleted all photos and videos of her engagement with Palash from Instagram, leading to unfounded rumors that Palash had cheated.
Speaking to Filmfare, Palak described the period as extremely challenging for both families. She said, “Both families have gone through a very difficult time. We want to focus on positivity and spread as much positivity as possible. We are trying to stay strong through this.”
Smriti Mandhana’s father has now been discharged from the hospital, and doctors have confirmed that his heart shows no blockages, providing the family a sense of relief. However, the couple’s new wedding date has not yet been announced. Earlier, Smriti’s business manager, Tuhin Mishra, stated that the decision to postpone the wedding indefinitely was Smriti’s.
