Shakti Kapoor Breaks Silence After 14 Years on Salman Khan Fallout, Reveals Past Accusations

Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor has finally opened up about his long-standing differences with Salman Khan, more than 14 years after tensions first surfaced between the two Bollywood stars. Once close friends, the duo’s relationship soured following incidents around Bigg Boss 5 and earlier controversies. Shakti Kapoor had previously accused Salman Khan of violent behavior toward women, a claim that had sparked widespread debate.

Past Friendship and Fallout
Shakti Kapoor and Salman Khan shared the screen in several hit films, including Baaghi, Judwaa, Chal Mere Bhai, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Aauzaar, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, and Hello Brother. Their friendship reportedly deteriorated in 2005 after a controversial sting operation surfaced, allegedly involving Salman Khan seeking sexual favors from a newcomer actress, who was actually an undercover reporter. Following the incident, the two actors did not collaborate for years.

When both appeared on Bigg Boss 5, hosted by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt in 2011, tensions were visible once again. Shakti Kapoor felt ignored on the show and accused Salman Khan of making dismissive comments, which led to public criticism on social media, including allegations that Salman was abusive toward women and prone to reckless behavior.

Current Status of Their Relationship
In a recent episode of The Powerful Humans Podcast, Shakti Kapoor clarified that all misunderstandings have been resolved. “All is well now,” he stated. “There is no issue with anyone. Everything is fine.” His tone suggested reconciliation, though he spoke candidly about past grievances.

Shakti Kapoor also shared that he gave up alcohol five years ago and now leads a sober lifestyle. He emphasized that the shift in his personal life reflects a focus on health, contrasting with an earlier era where stars frequently arrived on set intoxicated.

About Bigg Boss Participation
Shakti Kapoor explained that his participation in Bigg Boss 5 was not to win but to demonstrate to his children that he could live free from alcohol. “I was there for my children, not to compete,” he said. “I’m proud I achieved that and happy that no conflicts occurred when I became the house captain. My daughter, Shraddha, now says she would like to remain my daughter even in her next life.”

Salman Khan and Shraddha Kapoor
Interestingly, despite past disputes, Salman Khan’s rapport with Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor remained warm. Shraddha has often appeared on Bigg Boss to promote her films, reflecting continued cordial relations. She revealed that Salman Khan had approached her for a film when she was just 15 or 16, an offer she politely declined to focus on her education.

This revelation sheds light on the complex but evolving dynamics within Bollywood friendships, showing how past misunderstandings can eventually be resolved.
