Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday hosted a grand dinner for all National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs at his official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg. The gathering is being seen as one of the most significant meetings of the alliance following the NDA’s sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections.
Originally planned during the previous Parliament session, the dinner was postponed due to severe flooding in Punjab. After the event, PM Modi shared an update on his X handle, highlighting the unity and shared purpose of the NDA.

PM Modi wrote:
“It was a pleasure to host NDA MPs this evening at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. The NDA family reflects our collective commitment to good governance, national development, and regional aspirations. Together, we will continue strengthening India’s development trajectory in the coming years.”
MPs Arrived in Groups via Special Buses
Lawmakers arrived at the Prime Minister’s residence in groups, traveling in buses arranged for the occasion. The dinner comes shortly after the NDA’s emphatic victory in Bihar, where the alliance secured 202 of the 243 assembly seats.
A breakdown of the alliance’s performance:
- BJP: 89 seats
- JD(U): 85 seats
- LJP (Ram Vilas): 19 seats
- HAM (Secular): 5 seats
- Rashtriya Lok Morcha: 4 seats
PM Praises NDA’s Bihar Win, Calls for Citizen-Centric Governance
Earlier in the week, NDA leaders from Bihar met the Prime Minister to congratulate him on the victory. PM Modi urged them to work with renewed energy for public welfare.
During Tuesday’s NDA Parliamentary Party meeting, the Prime Minister stated that India had entered a “Reform Express” phase, where reforms are being implemented rapidly and with clear intent. He stressed that the government’s reforms are citizen-centric, aimed at removing obstacles from people’s everyday lives and helping them unlock their full potential.
