India’s First Urban Mangrove Park Ready in Gorai, Mumbai: Opening Soon for Public
Mumbai: Northern Mumbai is set to welcome the country’s first urban mangrove park in Gorai, which will open to the public this December. Union Minister and MP Piyush Goyal confirmed that following Gorai, the Dahisar Mangrove Park will also be inaugurated, marking a significant step in enhancing Mumbai’s green identity. Both projects, built at a combined cost of ₹110 crore, are expected to boost eco-tourism, environmental awareness, and employment opportunities in the region.

Spread over 8 hectares, the Gorai Mangrove Park has been designed as a state-of-the-art eco-tourism destination. The park includes:
