10 Lakh Women in Bihar Set to Receive Double Surprise Tomorrow Under CM Mahila Rojgar Yojana

Patna: In a major boost to women’s economic empowerment, the Bihar government is set to deliver another big surprise under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana. On 28 November, a financial assistance of ₹10,000 each will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of 10 lakh women associated with Jeevika groups across the state.

According to officials, the beneficiaries include 9.5 lakh women from rural areas and 50,000 from urban regions, all registered under various Jeevika self-help groups. With this fresh installment, the scheme continues to touch new milestones—over 1.40 crore women in Bihar have already received the ₹10,000 assistance under the programme.

₹10,000 Transfer to Hit Accounts on Friday

Under the scheme, the government had invited applications through both online and offline modes. Urban women submitted applications online, while applications from rural areas were accepted via hard-copy forms. Only those associated with registered Jeevika SHGs were eligible to apply.

Sources confirmed that the transfer process is complete, and the funds will reach beneficiaries’ accounts by Friday.

Good News for Newly Enrolled Jeevika Members Too

There is encouraging news for women who have recently joined Jeevika groups. Around 13 lakh new applicants applied through the online portal for the latest phase of the scheme. Their documents are currently under verification, and once cleared, these women too will receive ₹10,000 each in their bank accounts.

Political observers note that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to extend his appreciation to the women of Bihar for their significant participation in recent elections—a gesture that aligns with the government’s ongoing focus on women-centric welfare initiatives.
