Activa-Borne MD Drug Supply Racket Busted in Chhindwara; Kingpin Absconding, Police Team to Be Rewarded

Chhindwara: In a major crackdown on synthetic drug trafficking, the Chhindwara Rural Police have busted an MD drug supply network operating across the district. Based on a tip-off, the police apprehended two peddlers who were attempting to deliver MD drugs while riding a grey, numberless Honda Activa. However, the mastermind of the operation, identified as Naushad Sheikh, remains on the run.

Caught Red-Handed While Making a Deal on Activa

Addressing the media, ASP Ashish Khare said that police received intelligence about two suspicious youths waiting near Rohna Bypass on Gangiwada Ring Road. The duo was reportedly scouting for customers and preparing to deliver MD drugs. Acting swiftly, a team led by TI Govind Singh Rajput reached the location, surrounded the suspects, and detained them on the spot.

MD Powder Recovered During Search

During the search, police recovered:

• 6.57 grams of MD powder from Ateeq Ahmed
• 7.05 grams of MD powder from Adil Sheikh
• A numberless Honda Activa
• Three mobile phones
• Other materials used in drug distribution

The seizure confirms their active involvement in supplying synthetic drugs across the district.

Drugs Procured from Nagpur; Mastermind Operating from Singauri

During interrogation, the arrested accused revealed that they procured MD powder from Nagpur and supplied it in Chhindwara in collaboration with Naushad Sheikh of Singori, who is believed to be the main supplier. Police teams are conducting continuous raids to track down Naushad and his associate.

Case Registered Under NDPS Act; Police Team to Be Awarded

A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 8/22 and 29 of the NDPS Act. The operation was executed by an efficient team including:

• Constables Saurabh Baghel, Brijesh Pal
• Cyber Cell staff Nitin, Aditya, Ankit Sharma
