
Track repair work in the Varanasi division of the North Eastern Railway will impact the movement of several trains between 7 and 16 December. Meanwhile, the newly launched Gomtinagar–Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express will now operate six days a week starting 9 December, except on Mondays.
Multiple Trains Affected Due to Traffic Block
According to the North Eastern Railway, several trains will remain cancelled or diverted due to the traffic block imposed for essential track maintenance.
- 55056/55055 Gorakhpur–Chhapra–Gorakhpur Passenger will remain cancelled on 7, 10, 13, and 16 December.
- 04454 New Delhi–Mansi Special Train will operate via a diverted route — Gorakhpur Cantt, Kaptanganj, Thawe, and Siwan — on 6, 9, 12, and 15 December.
- From Gorakhpur, the 15048 Gorakhpur–Kolkata Express on 7 and 16 December, and the 14674 Amritsar–Jaynagar Express on 9 December will also run through the same diverted route.
These changes have been implemented due to ongoing track repair works in the Varanasi division.
Gomtinagar–Saharanpur Vande Bharat to Run Six Days Weekly
Indian Railways has issued new instructions for the regular operation of the Vande Bharat Express running between Lucknow (Gomtinagar) and Saharanpur.
- The train will not depart from Gomtinagar on Mondays.
- For the return journey, the train will not operate on Tuesdays starting 10 December.
- The train will now run six days a week in both directions.
Revised Schedule of Vande Bharat Express
From 9 December, the 26504 Gomtinagar–Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express will:
- Depart from Gomtinagar at 3:10 PM
- Travel via Daliganj, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Najibabad, and Roorkee
- Arrive at Saharanpur at 11:50 PM
From 10 December, the return train 26503 Saharanpur–Gomtinagar will:
- Depart from Saharanpur at 5:05 AM
- Arrive in Gomtinagar at 2:05 PM
- The train will operate with eight coaches
