Chhindwara: Elderly Man Attacks Sisters with Cutter After Live-In Breakup

Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh: A shocking incident in Chhindwara’s Chandameta-Umaria Line area left two sisters injured after a 62-year-old man attacked them with a cutter. The assault reportedly followed a dispute over a live-in relationship. Both victims were rushed to Parasia Hospital for treatment.

Attack from Behind
The attack occurred around 5:30 PM. Pooja Ahirwar and her sister Pinky Kawreti were at home completing their household chores when Arun Yadav suddenly approached from behind. According to Pooja, he started striking them with a cutter without warning. Pooja sustained injuries to her cheek and neck, while Pinky suffered serious wounds on her neck, abdomen, and cheek. Both were immediately admitted to the hospital.

Motivation Behind the Assault
Pooja revealed that her sister Pinky had been in a live-in relationship with Arun Yadav for about one and a half years. Recently, Pinky decided to end the relationship, which reportedly enraged the elderly man and triggered the violent attack.

Suspect Found Unconscious
Following the assault, the police apprehended Arun Yadav at the hospital. Officials stated that he was found in an unconscious state. Both injured sisters were also present at the hospital during the investigation.

Ongoing Police Investigation
Chandameta police have registered a complaint based on the sisters’ statement and are preparing to interrogate the suspect. The attack is currently being investigated as a dispute linked to the terminated live-in relationship. After receiving initial treatment, both sisters were discharged from the hospital.
