Delhi: Woman Shot Dead Months After Secret Court Marriage; Husband Dumps Body in Baghpat Forest

New Delhi: A shocking case has emerged from the capital where a woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband just months after their secret court marriage. The accused, Faisal Chaudhary, later dumped her body in the forests of Baghpat and eventually surrendered at Karkardooma Court.

According to police, Faisal had married Tayyaba at Saket Court on April 15 without informing their families. Despite the marriage, Tayyaba continued to live with her parents in Chand Bagh. She had recently begun pressuring Faisal to take her home, which investigators believe triggered the murder.

Shot in the Head, Body Thrown in Forest

Police said Faisal took Tayyaba towards Uttar Pradesh, shot her in the head, and abandoned the body in a forested area of Baghpat. Meanwhile, Dyalpur Police had already registered a missing-person case after her family reported that she did not return home on the night of November 22.

On Tuesday, Faisal walked into Karkardooma Court and surrendered. The police have recovered Tayyaba’s body as well as the car used in the crime, which belonged to Faisal’s friend.

Accused Was Already Married

Investigations revealed that Faisal was already married and had two children. His father, Alam, is a property dealer, and the family resides in Mustafabad. Dyalpur Police have now registered a case against Faisal under charges of murder, kidnapping and other relevant sections.

Tayyaba, who worked at a company in Dilshad Garden, lived with her parents, three brothers and a sister. Her brother Adnan told police that she had spoken to her mother at 2:48 a.m. on the night she went missing and said she would reach home in five minutes. Soon after, her phone switched off and she never returned.

Her disappearance was reported to Dyalpur Police on November 23.
