Dumka, Jharkhand: The bodies of Birendra Manjhi (32), his wife Aarti Kumari (28), and their two young children, Rohi (5) and Viraj (3), were discovered under suspicious conditions, raising questions about whether it was a collective homicide or a case of murder-suicide.

Early Sunday morning, villagers found Birendra’s body in a nearby field and immediately informed the police. Upon searching the family home, authorities discovered the bodies of Aarti and the two children, all showing visible strangulation marks.

According to preliminary investigations, police suspect that Birendra may have first killed his wife and children by strangulation and later hanged himself in the field.
