
A heartbreaking case has emerged from Hathras, where a 45-year-old woman, Deepa Bhardwaj, has been missing for the past five days. Her husband, Mukesh Bhardwaj, has been roaming from street to street with her photograph, pleading with strangers for any information that may help trace his wife.
The incident took place in Chaman Bihar Colony, under the jurisdiction of the Hathras Gate police station. According to family members, Deepa left home on 22 November to buy a sweater and blouse from the local market. She told her family she would return soon, but never came back.
When she did not return even by late evening, the family began searching for her in nearby areas. After hours of effort and no success, they reported her missing at the Hathras Gate police station. Acting on the complaint, the police have registered a missing-person case and initiated an investigation.
Husband Wandering Across City With Her Photo
For the last five days, Mukesh Bhardwaj has been seen standing outside police stations, hospitals, markets, and busy intersections, showing Deepa’s photograph to passersby and asking, “Have you seen my wife?”
Residents say he has visited the district hospital multiple times, fearing the worst, but remains hopeful that someone might have seen her.
Police Investigation Underway
Police officials have confirmed that a search operation is ongoing. All nearby markets, public transport points, and CCTV footage from the area are being reviewed. Authorities have appealed to the public to come forward with any information that may help locate the missing woman.
