Impostor Caught in Nursing Exam: Saniya Ali Appeared as ‘Anu Kumari’, Exposed by Alert Observer

A major impersonation scandal surfaced inside Gandhi Medical College (GMC) on Tuesday during the supplementary nursing examination. A woman named Saniya Ali was caught red-handed while appearing in the exam under the name of candidate Anu Kumari. Her cover collapsed the moment an alert observer noticed the mismatch between her face and the photo on the Aadhaar card.

Identity Fraud Uncovered Inside the Examination Hall

The examination hall was silent, but the vigilance of the exam observer broke that calm. Although the Aadhaar card displayed the name “Anu Kumari”, the girl sitting in the seat did not match the photograph. When questioned strictly, the impostor could not maintain her lie for long.

She finally admitted that she was Saniya Ali, a resident of Ashoka Garden, who had entered the hall with a borrowed identity to write the exam on behalf of someone else. Exam in-charge Radhika Jai Narayan immediately handed her over to the police.

₹20,000 for a Crime

During interrogation, Saniya confessed that she did not even know the real candidate, Anu Kumari. She revealed that the entire plan was orchestrated by her cousin Gani, who offered her ₹20,000 to impersonate the actual student. Tempted by the money, Saniya agreed—unaware of the legal trouble she was walking into.

Mastermind Still on the Run

The Koh-e-Fiza police have registered a fraud case and arrested Saniya. However, the prime accused Gani is currently absconding. Police officials believe that his arrest may uncover a larger network involved in exam fraud and proxy candidates.

This incident at Gandhi Medical College has once again raised serious concerns about the security and integrity of examination systems.
