Love Story of Former Uttarakhand BJP MLA Suresh Rathore Takes a Turbulent Turn, Conflict Between Both Wives Escalates

Dehradun: The personal life of former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore of Jwalapur, Haridwar, has once again become the center of public attention. Actress Urmila Sanawar has accused Rathore of sexual harassment in a tearful video and threatened self-immolation if action is not taken within four days.

In a video that went viral on social media, Urmila alleged that Rathore has subjected her to physical and mental abuse for the past four years. She appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for help, claiming that local authorities, including the Haridwar SSP, have not taken any action despite her complaints.

“I am Urmila Sanawar, the wife of former Jwalapur MLA Suresh Rathore. I request Modi ji, Yogi ji, and CM Dhami ji to intervene. Rathore has ruined my life and subjected me to abuse for four years. He considers women as toys, and I have been struggling for justice for two years,” Urmila said in the video. She also alleged harassment from Rathore’s wife and daughter, who she claims have blackmailed her continuously.

On the other hand, Rathore’s first wife, Ravinder Kaur Rathore, publicly refuted Urmila’s claims. Speaking at a press conference with her family, she stated that Urmila is making false accusations and illegally claiming Rathore as her husband despite his existing marriage. Ravinder Kaur alleged that Urmila is attempting to tarnish Rathore’s political image and take over his property. The family has sought legal intervention and demanded a fair investigation.

Earlier this year, on June 15, Suresh Rathore had publicly acknowledged Urmila Sanawar as his wife amid widespread media speculation about their relationship. A video of Rathore grooming Urmila’s hair had also gone viral, creating a stir within the BJP. Following this, Rathore was suspended from the party for six years.

The latest controversy has emerged just five months after their wedding, reigniting debates over the former MLA’s personal life and bringing both families into the public spotlight once again.
