MP Farmer Dies After Standing in Line for Urea Fertilizer for Three Days

Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh: A severe shortage of urea fertilizer in Tikamgarh district has tragically claimed the life of a local farmer. Jamuna Kushwaha (50) of Kari Bajrua village collapsed and died after standing in line for three consecutive days to obtain fertilizer.

According to family members, Jamuna Kushwaha had been waiting at the Bodoraghat fertilizer distribution center since the past three days, hoping to secure his share of urea. On Monday, he joined the queue early in the morning without eating, and after waiting for several hours, he suddenly collapsed due to a health emergency.

Officials rushed him to the district hospital, but despite immediate medical attention, Kushwaha passed away. The post-mortem report indicates that he suffered a heart attack, although his family attributes the tragedy to the extreme conditions endured while standing in line for fertilizer.

The incident highlights the critical shortage of urea fertilizer in Tikamgarh, causing immense hardship for local farmers. Family Response

Kushwaha’s younger brother told reporters that the farmer’s health deteriorated while waiting in line, and the Tehsildar personally informed the family of the situation. The tragedy has raised concerns among villagers about the urgent need for efficient distribution of agricultural inputs to prevent similar incidents in the future.
