Naresh Meena Sets Sights on Two Seats for 2028 Rajasthan Assembly Polls

Bundi, Rajasthan: Veteran political figure Naresh Meena, who has been in the news over the last two years for contesting multiple assembly elections, has announced his plans for the 2028 Rajasthan Assembly elections. Meena, who previously contested from Chhabra, Devli-Uniara, and Anta by-polls, aims to make a strong comeback by contesting from two constituencies, including Hindoli-Nainwa.

Past Struggles and Political Strategy

Naresh Meena first entered the fray from Chhabra when he did not receive a ticket from the Congress, aiming to disrupt the party’s stronghold. Later, he contested by-polls in Devli-Uniara and Anta, but faced defeats in all three attempts. In Anta, his main rival was former minister Pramod Jain Bhaya, while the election campaign also saw tensions with new Congress leader Ashok Chandna.

Targeting Hindoli-Nainwa and Another Seat

For the 2028 elections, Meena has publicly confirmed that he will contest from Hindoli-Nainwa to “settle political scores.” He has not yet disclosed the second constituency, keeping opponents guessing. Meena has indicated that his campaign strategy will combine grassroots support with alliances, aiming to strengthen his influence in the region.

Formation of Bhagat Singh Sena and Third Front Plans

Following his electoral setbacks, Naresh Meena launched the Bhagat Singh Sena and is working to consolidate his team at the constituency level. Speaking from Bundi, Meena emphasized that he aims to expand his political influence beyond being a single-term legislator in one party, and to play a major role in Hadoti’s politics.

Focus on Hadoti’s Development

Addressing the media at Bundi Circuit House, Meena criticized local leadership, claiming that development in Hadoti has stagnated due to political leaders succumbing to vested interests, which has negatively impacted farmers and the local population. He stated that his 2028 election strategy will be focused on revitalizing Hadoti’s political and developmental landscape.
