Patna Airport to Enhance Passenger Experience with Three New Aerobridges by Year-End

Patna’s Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport is set to significantly upgrade its passenger facilities with the commissioning of three new aerobridges by 31st December. Currently operating with two aerobridges, the airport will have a total of five once the expansion is complete, easing passenger boarding and flight take-offs while reducing congestion.

Recent Developments

The airport’s second aerobridge was inaugurated on 15th November, and construction of the remaining three has accelerated in recent weeks. Two of them are now in their final stages, with technical experts conducting regular inspections to ensure all safety standards are met.

Project Timeline and Impact

Airport officials confirm that the project is on track for completion by the end of this year. Once operational, the new aerobridges will streamline boarding, deboarding, and parking operations, making the passenger experience smoother, especially during peak hours.

Benefits for Travelers

The addition of these aerobridges is expected to:

  • Reduce terminal congestion significantly.
  • Offer passengers a more comfortable and efficient boarding experience.
  • Bring Patna Airport’s infrastructure closer to the standards of major hubs like Delhi and Mumbai.
  • Enable high-tech solutions for national-level flight operations.
