
Mathura: A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning when a ticket checker (TT) on the Rajdhani Express traveling from Mumbai to Delhi suffered a fatal heart attack. The train was immediately halted at Kosikalan station, but despite efforts to save him, he could not be revived.
The deceased has been identified as Dheeraj Sarju, 54, a resident of Valsad, Gujarat, who was on duty during the journey. At around 9:00 AM, he experienced severe chest pain while performing his duties. Fellow railway staff quickly alerted the loco pilot, and the train was stopped at the nearest station to provide medical assistance.
Efforts to treat Dheeraj Sarju on the moving train were unsuccessful. He was urgently shifted to a government hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Railway officials confirmed that the incident occurred so suddenly that there was no opportunity to save him. The news of his death was officially confirmed by a colleague TT at 1:00 PM.
The sudden passing of Dheeraj Sarju has sent waves of grief throughout the railway community. Mathura Railway Police have initiated the necessary legal procedures, and the body has been sent for post-mortem. The railway administration is continuing to investigate and take appropriate follow-up actions.
