Sonipat, Haryana – A heartbreaking road accident late at night on the Gohana–Sonipat Road near Khairi Damkan Bypass, close to Barauta village, claimed the lives of a couple and their three-year-old daughter. Three others sustained serious injuries in the horrific collision between an Eeco car and a tractor-trolley loaded with paddy stubble.

According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Ashok, his wife Aashu, and their little daughter Cheshta, residents of Bidhal village. The family was returning home after attending a satsang program in Bhiwani when the tragedy struck.

How the Accident Happened

The incident occurred when the family’s Eeco car reached the Khairi Damkan Bypass late at night. A tractor-trolley, heavily loaded with paddy stubble, suddenly moved to the wrong side, leading to a head-on collision. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the car was completely crushed, killing Ashok, his wife, and daughter on the spot.

Three other passengers — Sarita, her daughter Srishti, and a local youth Virendra, who had taken a lift, were critically injured and rushed to Khanpur Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Police Investigation Underway

Upon receiving the information, local police arrived at the scene and began rescue operations. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigation suggests negligence by the tractor driver as the primary cause of the accident. The stubble-laden trolley is believed to have reduced visibility on the road, worsening the situation.

Police have registered a case against the tractor driver and initiated further investigation. The tragic incident has cast a pall of grief over the entire area, with locals mourning the untimely death of the young family.
