UJJAIN – An evening filled with poetry, emotion, and soulful expression marked the literary gathering organized by Ghazalanjali Sahitik Sanstha at Rupantaran Dussehra Maidan. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a collective Saraswati Vandana, invoking the goddess of wisdom and art. The session was presided over by Dr. Shrikrishna Joshi, who emphasized that “A ghazal born from the heart touches every soul it reaches.”
Renowned poet Dr. Akhilesh Chaure opened the poetic session with his moving ghazal:
“Baat dil se nikalti hai, asar rakhti hai, Nikal ke dil se, ye dil ka hi safar karti hai…”
(His verses reflected how words emerging from the heart traverse directly into another’s soul.)
Following him, Vinod Kabra captivated the audience with his thought-provoking poem celebrating democracy and equality:
“Vote samaj ke samatva ka prateek hai, rashtradharma hai, swaraj hai, Vote rashtra-rupini, pavitra aur punyatma hai…”
(The poem portrayed the vote as a sacred symbol of equality, nationalism, and self-governance.)
Poet Ramdas Samarth presented his reflective composition:
“Hai saral jeena ye jeevan kathin, Aa tu sirf jee le insaan ban ke…”
(encouraging humanity and simplicity in life).
Satyanarayan Satyendra added charm to the evening with his lyrical piece:
“Subah suhaani, saanjh surmai, Luka chhipi khel rahi, sooraj ki kirnein hariali faili chahun aur…”
(painting vivid imagery of nature’s beauty and serenity).
Veteran poet Dr. Vijay Sukhwani mesmerized the audience with his ghazal on integrity and values:
“Kisi parai shay par nazar nahin rakhi, Daulat gair ki apne ghar nahin rakhi…”
(highlighting honesty and self-respect as timeless virtues).
The ghazal session grew more soulful as Vijay Singh Gehlot ‘Saqit’ recited:
“Tanhai muqaddar hai, tanha safar rahega, Bas dard sahara hai, gham raahbar rahega…”
and
“Palkon se kabhi jo chhalka bhi nahi hai, Woh dard samajh lijiye halkha nahi hai…”
(Moving couplets that explored solitude, pain, and emotional endurance.)
Famed ghazal poet Arif Afzal continued the flow of emotions with his heartfelt recitations that resonated deeply with the audience.
The evening concluded with Dr. Shrikrishna Joshi sharing poignant literary anecdotes and personal memories, leaving the audience immersed in reflection and inspiration.
The event stood as a testament to the enduring power of words — how poetry born from the heart transcends boundaries and touches every listener’s soul.
