
Bulandshahr, UP: In a shocking incident, a young woman was abducted and shot dead in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The accused, identified as Salim, was apprehended by the police following an encounter during which a police constable was also injured.
According to reports, the victim, identified as Kshama from Hasanpur Naithla village, went missing suddenly. Despite extensive searches, there was no trace of her. Later, her body was found dumped in the Balipur Gang Canal. Initially, a local youth was interrogated in connection with the case but released. Subsequent investigations confirmed the victim’s identity as Kshama, and her body was brought back to the village on Thursday. The police are also investigating potential sexual assault angles, including rape or gang-rape.
Encounter and Arrest
The case was registered at Chola Police Station. While a police team was escorting Salim to recover weapons, the accused opened fire on the officers. In the retaliatory firing, Salim sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Constable Ankur, stationed at Chola Police Station, was also injured in his right hand. Both the accused and the injured constable were admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
Seizure of Weapons and Investigation Details
Police recovered illegal firearms, cartridges, and a knife from Salim’s possession. Investigations revealed that Salim and the victim Kshama were previously acquainted. The assailant strangled Kshama before dumping her body in the canal. Authorities are continuing further investigations to ascertain all aspects of this heinous crime.
