50 Families in Jabalpur Return to Hindu Dharma, Cite Children’s Future as Key Reason
Jabalpur: In a significant event held at Khamaria’s Shiv Temple, 50 individuals from 50 families formally returned to Hinduism (Sanatan Dharma), adopting new names as part of the ritual. The ceremony, conducted with Vedic chants, was organized by the International Hindu Council.
New Names and Religious ReaffirmationAmong the participants, Shamim Khan became Shamim Banjara, and Pappu Khan is now Pappu Banjara. All participants, predominantly from the Banjara community in Hinotiya Bhoi village, Barela, took part in religious rites and pledged to uphold Sanatan Dharma. The event was marked with chants of “Jai Shri Ram”, reinforcing the spiritual ambiance.
